Stick when catch and take or post disappear. Button from anyplace in close. Works for me but it took a little practice. Is not it harder to select your layup if you use button? I've always struggled with those controls and NBA 2K Coins used stick for layups. I'd LOVE to be shooting at 40% but I'm blessed if I could hit 20%. I just play offline. I understand we've scrub players at this time, and I am a below average player but seriously even layups that are in the center of the meter are not going in. I do not even dare to try a jump shot. The AI seems to be absurd levels as well. I understand they want to reward ability in 2k21 however this type of stuff is going to truly put off casual players and people new the 2K franchise and new to basketball matches.

I have been playing since 2K13 but I have never been that good of a participant. My starter players have never played with this awful in 2k16,17,18,19 and 20. The only other 2K I played 2K20 was 2K13 and that was on PC. I improved a hell of a lot in 2K20 to the point where I really could go as high as Superstar without using STS. However, this is a completely different level with a very different mechanic. I did ok in the demonstration and at the quickgames with the new shooting meter but can not hit the side of a barn .

Simply played the demo, but the stick was much more reliable than button for me. I've been a button man also. . . Genuinely shooting 2/16 in an offline triple hazard game on only layups and 1 open jumpshot that airballed on slightly early. Spent $100 with this bullshit lmao. Man the shooting is additional fine right now but I would advise shot timing like look for the que about the cartoon.

Yep I'm having trouble with it as well. Started a game on My group heading 0/12 missing open 3s and midsize shots all over the area. I am all for Cheap NBA 2K MT Coins them toning down shots being nearly automatic but the system seems a little bit too unforgiving so far. Hopefully will start to get better after a couple more matches of getting used to it. The game just came out and we have ta new meter using slightly different timing.
