I believe the modification was completely needed, you may be forgetting how grindy classic Aion was. Remember, there were not any solo cases, and less quests, no pink quests. From around level 35-45 was dreadful for
aion classic kinah levelling unless you can solo/duo elites. Jeiparan Village repeatables were dull, which is the way me and my buddies grinded to 45/46 earlier we can do Theo Labs.
We played on a Private Server a few months back on patch 4.7, and the grind was much easier because of the extra quests and cases. Playing Classic for us is going to be for rifting at the 30s/40s, also doing DP and Dredgion PvP at level 50 around again, without being massively outgeared by eternal officer pvp gear. So we are glad the grind will not be as bad, because we could reach that point quicker than grinding for weeks throughout the boring 30-40 levels.
That is only my view, there can be individuals who like the mill, but I think it helps sustain the participant base using it grindy. Most people who are coming back to classic are 10-12 years older than when we played it, and probably don't have the free time we had back in our younger days, myself included becoming 27 now in contrast to enjoying it in school.
Well, the problem is making it too simple, this is an MMORPG and a Classic server of Aion not, therefore it should be as it was if not what's the point? You say it took a lot of time to level up and you're right, but that is the point!
This is not a mobile game which you could just make it AFK or a sport in which you may pay to get into the top level, and I think that this is mostly centered on the old player foundation while I do agree some parts of the leveling was slow, but that is how it was. You might say people don't have that much time anymore we are not children anymore.... and?
In 2009-2010 I'd just started school and had to work too, because of this I was just able to perform 2-3 hours every day and enjoy most of the"grinding" and leveling, some of my own legion-mates were busy with life and work, ofc there were individuals who could play 6-7 hours every day but not even one could think - Oh I'm busy so this match should be quicker to level up since"I" can not put the time...
You cant put the time that's ok, folks have different responsibilities and schedules but this genre has been created to be a slow burner, so that is one of the reasons why the genre is in life-support because they try to make it fast and simple when this should be rewarding and challenging at the same time, you wouldn't request an FPS game to have an auto-aim right?
P.D. I really do agree with making the
euro aion classic buy kinah leveling a bit quicker, but NCsoft has shown many times they can not restrain their greed and if they're provided a small explanation, they'll fill the match in the first 2 weeks with P2W stuff.
