Achievements were put into World of Warcraft using the Wrath from the Lich King expansion, as well as their popularity is one of the reasons the legacy of Arthas and also the Frozen Throne is everyone's favorite addition to the land of Azeroth. There are Achievements in virtually everything, including the humble secondary professions of Cooking, Fishing, and First Aid.
In World of Warcraft, Fishing is a profession that any character might have, therefore the Salty title is an Achievement that can be found regardless of role, class, or faction. However, be advised the Salty title is one of the toughest ones to obtain, therefore it is helpful to possess a guide to sort out it.

Helpful Fishing Tips
Not all Achievements rely on the character's Fishing level of skill, but it is always useful to have a boost towards the skill, and that is true even for the ones that are maxed out. The following items could be equipped or carried within the player's inventory and raise the Fishing skill.
Gear and Accessories. Two examples would be the Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat, an incentive for Old Man Barlow's Outland quests, or Boots from the Bay, a prize in the Kalu'ak Fishing Derby.
Fishing Poles. There are an incredible variety of fishing poles within the game, and it is easy to buy or find. Players who've Exalted status using the Kalu'ak can acquire the only purple fishing pole in Azeroth.
Various Lures. These rely on character and fishing level of skill, including crafted things like Aerodynamic Fish Attractors. Nightcrawlers, which often drop from undead enemies, are some of the best lures available until players may use the Glow Worms of Northrend.
Fishing Gloves. The enchant to provide a +5 fishing skill to gloves was added within the Northrend expansion and thanks towards the new profession of Inscription implies that it's on the Auction House whether it's tough to find an Enchanter.
Consumables. If a player has got the recipe for Captain Rumey's Lager, they can brew some up for that fishing buff. The Underbelly Elixir, which sometimes appears within the sewers of Dalaran, also offers a chance to grant an angling buff but it is chosen randomly.
Note: Helpful items and strategies for each achievement vary widely, plus some of them are out of the question until a character reaches a certain level or a part of a special group, just like a dungeon or raid party. Several items are available that can give any character a lift when it comes to the level of skill, extra protection, or better mobility.
The Accomplished Angler
There are 15 meta-Achievements to accomplish for a character to get the Salty title. Some seem to be easier than others, however, the consensus among players is the fact that these are some of the most difficult Achievements to obtain overall. This is why Salty is one of the rarer titles having a long and notorious listing of Achievements.
Warning: There's also an Achievement within the retail version of World of Warcraft for that Accomplished Angler and in addition, it rewards the Salty title, although not all the meta-Achievements would be the same. There are different fish in later incarnations of the game, one from the fishing contests no more exists, and also the location or even the strength of enemies in retail now scales towards the player's level so exploring is not as dangerous.
